Follow that meta!

Are there really effective strategies that can help you succeed in a Web3 world?

If you love Web3 as much as I do, you've probably realized by now that we are a vibrant community capable of doing great things. But sometimes, we act like complete amateurs. This becomes especially evident when we talk about profits.

When it comes to profits, things can get quite hilarious.

Let's dive in.

Every once in a while, we come across something described as "meta."

You wake up one day, check your timeline, and everyone is yelling that meme coins are meta, free mints are meta, staking is meta, pixel art is meta, ASCII is meta...

But is it really?

In slang, "meta" means "most effective tactics available." It points out the best possible strategies in a particular field.

In gaming, especially in MMORPGs, developers occasionally need to balance the mechanics and may nerf certain classes. Smart communities carefully discover new best approaches and declare them the meta again.

However, in Web3, when something sells and performs well on the secondary market, it is immediately labeled as meta.

And then the "miracle" happens.

Every developer, artist, hustler, or rugmaker starts producing derivatives and worthless copies. People jump into the exit liquidity game without much consideration for sustainability or the true potential of this new trend.

And in a few days, sometimes weeks, everything crumbles.

Ruggers make their profits, a small percentage of users flip and earn some money, while the majority suffer losses.

Why does this happen?

Because those things are not the meta. Our market is not big enough to have the most effective tactics available.

The most effective tactic is simply being yourself

Are you ready to embrace it?

Yes, I am saying that - you are the meta.

You have been all along.

In the mindless run for profits, people forget to innovate. The Web3 space craves innovative approaches. You decided to copy someone else's collection, your favorite influencer, or some random guy whose tweets you like?

You wasted time and effort becoming a blunt copy instead of a great original.

And originality sells here.

The "meta" everyone is trying to copy today was someone's idea just a few weeks ago.

Stop chasing the most effective tactics and focus on creating the most desired product. Whether you plan to launch your NFT collection, showcase your art, grow your social presence, provide consulting, or build an engaged Twitter profile and start earning, remember that focusing on yourself is the key.

Okay, now how to proceed?

To start, subscribe to this newsletter if you haven't already. Every week, we dive deep into these topics.

Next, define what you do as a product.

What do you create? What do you write about? What makes you stand out from the crowd? What is your unique selling proposition?

Then, it's time to work on your personal branding.

Trust me, it's a process.

During this journey, you'll need a well-crafted communication strategy and tactics. It will help you reach your goals through consistent work.

It's not as hard as it may look. With a clear direction, you won't blindly follow the fake meta train.

Remember - Rome wasn't built in a day. Take a moment to reflect on this and stay focused!

I wish you a productive week ahead, and I'd love to hear your comments.

Much love!
