The Three Pillars of Good Content
There are numerous approaches in content creation theory, and honestly, it seems like there's a new one every day.
Hey fam,
There are numerous approaches in content creation theory, and honestly, it seems like there's a new one every day. That's why I wanted to share a general piece of content creation advice that has always proven valuable to me. I call it the "Three Pillars of Good Content," and my aim is to incorporate at least one of these pillars in everything I write.
Three Pillars of Good Content
1️⃣ The Story It Tells: Every great piece of content starts with a captivating story. Stories have the power to transport readers, elicit emotions, and create connections. They captivate readers, draw them in, and make your content memorable. Whether you're sharing a personal anecdote, crafting a fictional narrative, or presenting real-life case studies, storytelling adds depth and relatability to your content.
2️⃣ The Emotion It Holds: Emotions are at the heart of every impactful piece of content. They help us forge connections, inspire action, and leave a lasting impact. Emotions have the power to connect people on a deeper level. Infusing your content with emotion—be it humor, excitement, empathy, or inspiration—creates a stronger bond with your audience. It evokes a response and makes your content resonate with them long after they've read it.
3️⃣ The Value It Creates: Providing value to your readers is the cornerstone of building trust and loyalty. This can take many forms, such as offering practical tips, sharing valuable insights, or solving a problem for your audience. When you consistently deliver value, you establish yourself as a reliable source of information and expertise.
Remember, fam, these pillars are flexible and adaptable. You can choose to emphasize one or combine them in different ways depending on the content you're creating. The key is to keep experimenting, refining your skills, and finding what approach best works for you and your audience.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
